AucklandAbout UsHandles Plus is one of New Zealand's leading suppliers of premium architectural door hardware, servicing residential builders, developers, architects, designers, and homeowners throughout Auckland and nationwide.Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Architectural Hardware Consultant to join our showroom team.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, has an eye for design, and wants to build a long-term career within the construction and architectural products industry.The RoleBased in our modern showroom, you will work closely with homeowners, builders, developers, and trade customers to provide expert advice on door hardware solutions.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting walk-in customers and trade clientsProviding product recommendations and hardware solutionsPreparing quotations and processing sales ordersFollowing up enquiries and converting opportunities into salesCoordinating with our sales and operations teamsMaintaining showroom presentation and product displaysBuilding strong relationships with customers and industry professionals
What We're Looking ForPrevious retail, showroom, sales, or customer service experienceExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsProfessional presentation and positive attitudeStrong attention to detailConfidence using computer systems and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentA willingness to learn technical product knowledge
Highly RegardedExperience within door hardware, building supplies, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, lighting, interiors, or construction-related industriesKnowledge of residential building or architectural productsExperience using CRM or ERP systems
